91. [INTERVIEW] The anxiety and depression spiral and finding healthy coping skills with Lindsey Konchar
Show Notes

Lindsey Konchar is a licensed graduate social worker, which basically means she brings some credentialed experience to the mental health world. Now, she is a mom by day and social worker by heart! While she has been thrilled to be a stay-at-home mama, she knew she couldn’t lose who she was along the way. That was vital. She found a way to use the clinical skills she had developed in her practice and hold on to the work she loves so much - she wrote a friggin’ book. I Got 99 Coping Skills and Being a B*tch Ain’t One is a quippy, evidence-based guide to help individuals find better, healthy coping skills. We all know life can be unimaginably challenging. It brings stress and grief, anxiety and angst, but that doesn't mean we should lose hope. By using the small, simple, actionable steps in I Got 99 Coping Skills and Being a B*tch Ain’t One, you can find what uniquely works for you to optimize your life!

Today we chat about:

  • Lindsey's experience as a new mom in the pandemic
  • Lindsey's experience with postpartum
  • Lindsey's mental health journey including a contemplated suicide
  • The depression and anxiety spiral and how they each play off of each other
  • Lindsey's book: I Got 99 Coping Skills and Being a B*tch Ain't One.
